This is a new app which has been featured in the news recently - it was created by a group of teen girls as a platform for young people in high school to discuss their anxieties, stresses and any mental illness worries they have. The Safe and Sound app is a response to a high school shooting in the girls' town, which was committed by a mentally ill high school student who tragically took his frustration out on five of his classmates in 2014.
The app is still in development, but centres around informing teens on different kinds of anxiety and stress. This is relevant to my own work, because I realise while reading this that I have not really covered stress and depressive moods/depression in my app. This could call for a couple of extra information pages on stress and depression, how it is harmful and how mindfulness can help. By contextualising the issues many people face with mindfulness practice, it may help further persuade a user that to could be a useful tool for them to learn.
